Contemporary American Society celebrates
freedom of the individual to fulfill
personal ambitions and desires
without restriction or control
from outside sources.

Such freedom carries critical responsibilities.
A truly independent individual owns the costs
-- and consequences -- of his/her own
actions and/or inactions.

Ancient American societies, and those few
who remain today, honor Earth and elements
comprising life^s domain as vital, psychoactive,
sacred grounds -- sustaining a delicately balanced
dynamosphere supporting life and cosmic integrity.

It may be difficult for modern man to perceive
Earth -- and every aspect of life^s composite
grounds -- as being alive . . . aware . . . full
of feeling . . . responsive . . . interactive . . . .

For those whose lives are rooted in such dynamic
perspectives, it likewise, is challenging to view
Earth as a toy . . . or a playground . . . a well
to be tapped -- mother lode to be mined --
virgin soils and forests to be harvested

to succor tender vanities of
disassociated soul . . . .

At this point, it may make no difference
whether or not we walk quietly with gentle step.

Then again, if this wondrous planet is, in fact,
a sanctuary for worship of life, it would be wise
to act with respect and sensitivity -- especially since
this sacred place has been crafted by the hand of creation
and powers so deep, wee humans never will comprehend
the extent of it
-- any more than we can know
the full impact of our own influence
on the whole equation.

<<>> << >> <<>>

Nothing we create can equal
or even approach in magnitude the
awesome power and inherent integrity
of nature^s balances . . . .

Who has the right to decimate
this immense majesty . . . !?!

Who will dare to challenge
psychosocial indigence at the
heart of senseless desecration?

Those who do, may find something
in these mountains -- in this earth

-- within depths of soul --

far more valuable and rewarding
than composted blood and bones of
dinosaurs, long dead -- resurrected by
myopic ambitions of small-minded men.

<<>> << >> <<>>

Here and now, we find opportunity -- for one
and all -- to expand perspectives -- and horizons

-- to honor the golden rule in all we do --

open ourselves to rewards that come
from knowing we have made choices for
. . . life . . . conscience . . . integrity . . . .

Are we willing to grow beyond what we know?

Do we ever ask ourselves what
our lives will be if we do not

-- will it even be life . . . ?

Or, will it be a cheap {but costly} imitation?

The ball is in our court
. . . the score is love all

. . . so is the law.
